whoa. i want. pintucks!

So despite the fact that I have very little time for sewing besides pant hemming and the random reupholstery project, I still have been following a couple sewing blogs. One of my absolute FAVORITES is Grosgrain.

But what got me to finally post about it? PINTUCKS! She introduced me to a pintuck foot that you can add onto your sewing machine so you can make pintucks super easily! She even has a video tutorial of how to thread the double needle and use the pintuck foot. Ok. I'm sold.

I could add pintucks to shirts to give them more detail and shape like this:





I even realized that pintucks are what create the cool diagonal chest pattern across the Southward Stop Dress at Anthropologie. See:
