yo-yo's

I remember yo-yo's going in and out of popularity growing up. I could never get any tricks to work (besides walking the dog for a few seconds) so I had to get one of those fake yo-yo's that would retract on its own so i could bounce the orb around in fun ways. These kids are crazy. it's very cool that a string and a couple of wheels can make such frenzied geometric sketches. Here's some highlights from the national Japanese yo-yo competition.
