boo

i got physically ill last night and couldn't work on my thesis. i spent 3 hours lying on my bed waiting for my head splitting and nausea to end... which it didn't i might add, so i just went to sleep.

i feel better now, but i've started to get that craft itch again (sounds like some nasty medical problem huh?). i really want to sew and clay. i also want to clean my apartment like no other!

oh thesis, finish already!

and for some images... some pics from the wedding i went to last weekend. My family get togethers are getting so multiracial now (I'm way too concentrated on my thesis... multiracial/Hapas are on the brain).

The bride (my auntie Jackie) and groom (my new uncle Harry)... his last name is Chan... my aunt is now Jackie Chan... you can guess how many cracks she's heard about that now, and they'll only keep coming.

My 4 yr old cousin Maika and my Nai Nai... Maika drew me an amazing picture of houses and flowers and fireworks. I plan to scan it to display it as proudly on my blog as it will on my wall. It's interesting that she looks completely Asian since her new brother looks nearly white. She's 1/2 Japanese, 1/4 Chinese, 1/4 White. She's such a cutie... She's currently bilingual (japanese and english) but prefers to speak Japanese.

My Nai Nai, Auntie Su, cousin Erica (1/2 Chinese, 1/2 White... identifies as white), me

My cousins Jeanette and Stephanie! Such sweeties! (1/2 Chinese 1/2 Filipino)

Me, Erica, Auntie Jennifer, and Maika... Erica and I thought it was going to be really warm in Boston... unfortunately it was freezing and raining. We were quite cold in our summer dresses... I wore my hooded fleece to the wedding!

Us all at dinner! We were at the 'kids' table... although 1/2 of us were over 21, the wine servers didn't come by, and neither did the coffee and tea people (it's ok tho because it was an open bar so i just got cocktails instead). My Nai Nai bitched out the serving staff for not offering us drinks or at least checking if we were underage. The baby on the end is my nephew "Little" David (son of Stephanie). He's 1/2 white 1/4 Chinese 1/4 Filipino... he's adorable. I had lots of fun playing with him throughout the weekend.

cute pic! Maika was so thrilled with babies (maybe because she just got a new little brother a couple months ago) and she thoroughly enjoyed playing with little David.

Uncle Terril (1/2 Chinese 1/2 White) (Maika's father), Maika, and little David.

okay... definitely too much multiracial thesis stuff on the brain!
